Melissa Kucera

MS, LPC

A Wyoming native, Melissa returned to Fremont County after earning her Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences. She now lives in the area with her family and brings a deep commitment to healing and community well-being through her work as a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Melissa has practiced yoga and mindfulness for over 20 years, completing her 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher training in 2017. While she no longer teaches yoga classes, this foundation has profoundly influenced her therapeutic approach, integrating principles of self-awareness, mind-body connection, and holistic wellness into her clinical work.

Since completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Melissa has focused her career on trauma recovery, PTSD, and post-traumatic growth. Her therapeutic orientation is trauma-informed and grounded in psychophysiology, drawing from humanistic, relational, psychodynamic, and somatic modalities.

Melissa is trained in Brainspotting Therapy, a powerful and research-supported approach that facilitates healing from trauma, anxiety, depression, and more. Psychology Today has recognized Brainspotting as an effective and versatile therapy, also shown to support performance enhancement and stress reduction.

Melissa takes time to understand each client’s unique goals, experiences, and needs. She tailors treatment using an integrative approach that empowers individuals to develop emotional resilience and lead more fulfilling, self-aware lives.
